It is a big blow for Shubman Gill‘s Gujarat Titans. Glenn Phillips has returned home due to a groin injury. It is unlikely that he would play a further part in the tournament. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three players who can replace Glenn Phillips at Gujarat Titans for IPL 2025.
1) Shai Hope
Shai Hope is a player who has changed a lot in the T20 format. He recently became the captain of the West Indies T20I side.
GT can have him as the backup of Jos Buttler. The side needs a wicket-keeper who can play instead of Jos if he is injured. Therefore, it is good to have someone like Hope.
2) Dewald Brevis can replace Glenn Phillips at Gujarat Titans
If GT can pull off this signing, they will have some brilliant youngsters in the squad for the future. However, it would be difficult to convince Brevis.
The youngster has been in good form in the last few months. He could fit perfectly at No.4 or No.5 in the GT playing XI.
3) Ben Duckett
It is now important to have a left-hander who can be a backup for Sherfane Rutherford. While is generally an opener, Ben has enough experience in the middle order, as well.
Therefore, it makes sense to have him on the side. He is also a part-time wicket-keeper and spinner, just like Glenn Phillips.
