Brydon Carse is ruled out of IPL 2025. Wiaan Mulder comes in as the replacement at SRH. Here, we take a look at the list of three players SRH could have signed instead of Wiaan Mulder as Brydon Carse’s replacement.
1) Michael Bracewell
Michael Bracewell is one of the players SRH could have signed instead of Mulder as Brydon Carse’s replacement. SRH would need a right-arm off-spinner in the playing XI.
Kamindu Mendis is an option, but he is too raw and inexperienced. Someone like Bracewell in the squad would have helped the balance.
2) Dewald Brevis could have been useful to SRH rather than Wiaan Mulder
Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head and Kamindu Mendis are the only overseas batters in the team. Mendis is not experienced.
SRH would have needed an option for the finisher role. Brevis might have added a lot of value in this regard.
3) Sikandar Raza
Like Bracewell, Raza could have also been a choice for the side. He is experienced, and having him at No.7 could give more freedom to the batters above.
He also offers a few overs of spin to the bowling attack. This is a good attribute to have at venues such as the Chepauk or the EKANA.
