3 players RCB must desperately target on Day 2 of IPL 2025 Mega Auctions

It was a poor day for RCB on Day 1 of the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. The management was too stubborn and hardly went after the well-known and proven names with their big purse. The fans were also let down with the moves made by the management. Now, the pressure is on the management to make some good signings so that there is balance and value in the team. If the same performance continues, RCB’s season might be over even before the season starts. Here, we take a look at the list of three players RCB must desperately target on Day 2 of IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.

1) Nitish Rana

RCB does not have a left-hander in the batting unit. They did not RTM for Mahipal Lomror, which is a big shock, considering he had done well and he was also in good form. Now, for the No.3 or No.4, role, the team needs a good experienced Indian batter.

Nitish Rana has to be the man for RCB. Since the team also does not have a captain, Nitish could be an option although now it is clear that Virat Kohli could be coming back to the role. Nitish provides experience and off-spin value with his presence.

2) Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya is one of the players RCB must desperately target on Day 2 of IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Again, RCB needs experience in the bowling department and they could go after Krunal Pandya.

Krunal is a wily cricketer and comes in with plenty of experience. His attitude is also something that might be needed for this RCB squad that is looking bland at the moment.

3) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

At the moment, RCB already has a new-ball pair in the form of Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal. Hence, in the first place, they might not even target Bhuvi.

However, the bowling unit, barring Josh, is full of inexperience. With Mohammed Siraj gone, the team needs that pedigree and Bhuvi is someone who can offer that. Hence, they must go very hard for the cricketer.
