LSG does not have a single regular and experienced opener. Hence, it is a no-brainer that they must go for Ben Duckett, who also plays spin well.
He can give the attacking momentum in the powerplay and Aiden Markram can play around him to add stability to the line-up.
2) Mitchell Owen can replace Mitchell Marsh for IPL 2025
Mitchell Owen is one of the players LSG can target if Mitchell Marsh is ruled out of IPL 2025. Justin Langer could look at some Aussie names and hence, Owen is on this list.
The youngster led his side Hobart Hurricanes to the title in BBL 2024/25. He has the potential to become a top all-rounder in the future. Therefore, he is on this list.
3) Lhuan-dre Gilbert Pretorius
Lhuan-dre Gilbert Pretorius can be an interesting choice for LSG. The South African cricketer has set the SA20 2025 on fire with his displays.
He is just 18 years old and he can also keep wickets. LSG does invest for the future and Pretorius could be a good investment. Hence, he can be a target for LSG.
