Chennai Super Kings will need to make some changes in the squad for IPL 2025. They could look at some of the players who represent them in other leagues. Joburg Super Kings and Texas Super Kings have some fine players and could be of interest to CSK. Here, we take a look at the list of three players from sister franchises whom CSK could target for IPL 2025.
1) Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis, despite his age, has been in brilliant form for the Super Kings’ family. More than the contributions he can make on the field. it is the emotional attachment with the fans which could drive the management to bid for the veteran.
Faf will anyways be a good backup for the likes of Devon Conway. On his day, he can also be the first-choice overseas opener for the side. Therefore, he is on this list.
2) Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram is one of the players from sister franchises whom CSK could target for IPL 2025. Texas Super Kings had signed up the South African skipper for the 2024 edition of the Major League Cricket.
Aiden is a profile which could find success at CSK. At No.3, CSK has struggled in recent seasons. Markram will be an ideal fit for the franchise. He will also add leadership skills to the side. Furthermore, his bowling skills will make him an apt replacement for Moeen Ali.
3) Noor Ahmad
Noor Ahmad played for very few games at MLC 2024 for the Texas Super Kings. However, he was super impressive and was one of the best players for TSK.
He is young and has a lot of time to develop. Already, in his bowling type, he is one of the best bowlers. CSK will need such a player at the Chepauk. Therefore, he could be a firm target for the side.
