Reece Topley was England’s best bowler in the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, he is ruled out of the tournament and England has announced Brydon Carse as the replacement. The defending champions did have plenty of other options and hence, picking Carse was a surprise. Will Jacks would have been an interesting pick for the unit. He is in form and would have added a lot of balance and firepower to the side. His versatility could have also helped England.
2) Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer is one of the players England could have picked as a replacement for Reece Topley instead of Brydon Carse. Jofra has joined the England Team in India.
England just has a few more games to make a comeback. If they get knocked out, it would be a major embarrassment. Hence, they should have taken a risk on Jofra’s fitness, especially because there is no major tournament coming up. 3) Rehan Ahmed
