Actually, Delhi Capitals will be happy with their campaign in IPL 2024. They managed to get some fine youngsters in form. These players will make the team stronger in the future. 1) David Warner
With JFM doing so well and Mitchell Marsh also in the fray, there is unlikely to be any space for David Warner in the DC camp. Adding to this, he has been in poor form and that will not help his case, as well.
Delhi would look at the future with some different options. They could opt to groom Abishek Porel, who showed a lot of promise in the recent season. Hence, the Aussie veteran is likely to lose his contract with Delhi.
2) Shai Hope
Shai Hope is one of the players Delhi Capitals will surely release before IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. It was a bit of a surprise when DC signed Shai Hope at the auctions. They were better players available in the auctions and Delhi could have gone in a different route.
Nevertheless, the experiment failed and DC could look at different foreign batters in the IPL 2025 Auctions. There would be some fine options who could come in the market. Hence, DC would not be short of options in this regard.
3) Jhye Richardson
Considering his injury-prone nature, it was a surprise in the first place that Delhi went so far for the Aussie. As expected, he had a fitness problem and could not do well in the games he got in IPL 2024.
Now, Delhi would want to address this issue of foreign pacers in the coming auctions. Had they had one good foreign pacer, their campaign might have been different. Hence, they would be very active in this department for a new and reliable recruit.
