3 pacers who worked as net bowlers but never got to play for India in recent times

Working as a net bowler could help a player get close to the team management. This is a good platform for them to impress the stakeholders. Here, we take a look at the list of three pacers who worked as net bowlers but never got to play for India in recent times.

1) Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi was one of the net bowlers for India in the famous India Tour of Australia when India made history at the Gabba. Even Ravi Shastri spoke highly of his impact and skills.

Injuries have hampered the career of the Uttar Pradesh cricketer. He has all the attributes to become a superstar bowler. However, things are not working out for him. He still has time, though, to get back onto the radar.

2) Arzan Nagwaswalla

Arzan Nagwaswalla is one of the pacers who worked as net bowlers but never got to play for India in recent times. After Zaheer Khan, India never had a good left-arm pacer in Tests. In between, India tried many players for this role. However, even at the Ranji level, India was not getting any promising cricketers.

In one season, Arzan was in top form and he helped Gujarat do well. He was selected to Team India and even travelled to England as a reserve. However, he could not play for Team India. Now, he is nowhere in the picture. The likes of Yash Dayal and Khaleel Ahmed are ahead of him on the pecking order.

3) Ishan Porel

When he started out, Ishan Porel was highly rated. He also helped his case with many good performances at the Ranji Trophy level.

However, the West Bengal pacer could not have that defining season which would have helped him break the door down. That said, he is still young and an opportunity could still come his way if he keeps doing well.
