As per reports, CVC Capital, the current owners of Gujarat Titans will be looking to sell all its stakes in the franchise. Adani Group and Torrent are the frontrunners in bagging the team. Having invested in other sports leagues and considering their stature in India, the Adani Group could be the favourites. Here, we take a look at the list of three major changes that could happen if the Adani Group buys Gujarat Titans.

1) Change in the name and the jersey of the franchise

The jersey and the name are one of the major changes that could happen if the Adani Group buys Gujarat Titans. With a new owner at the helm, surely, they would try to stamp their presence wherever possible.

In this regard, the name of the franchise and the jersey could change. Both these aspects are already decent for Gujarat Titans. However, irrespective of this, the new owner will surely mark a new era by changing the outlook of the franchise.

2) A popular Gujarat cricketer could join the outfit

Adani Group is strongly rooted in Gujarat. They already have a WPL franchise based out of the state. In this regard, surely, they will try to bring a big name from the state to the franchise.

Hardik Pandya was already there but he now plays for Mumbai Indians. Some other popular Gujarat-based cricketers include Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.

3) The Gujarat franchise could become very active in the trade window

Adani and Ambani have always competed in various fields. Mumbai Indians have always been ambitious and that shows when there is a trade window.

Adani can also exercise a similar power and we can see them being very active in the trade window. So far, GT has mostly sold players in the trade window. With Adani at the helm, they could target to hire some big names in the trade window, which would be a welcome move for the franchise.
