BCCI has announced the squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The last time this tournament happened, it was a fine win for India. Despite injury issues, the underdog Indian Team defeated the mighty Aussies. The management was forced to hand a lot of Test caps in that series. Interestingly, a few players who played in that series are yet to feature in Tests, so far. On that note, here, we take a look at three Indians who played in the last BGT series and have not played in Tests since then.
1) Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw had a bright start to his Test career. He scored a century on his Test debut but soon exposed his vulnerability to the incoming ball.
In the first Test, he lost his stumps on the second delivery of the game and in the second innings, it was on his fourth delivery. Since then, he has not played in Tests for the Indian Team.
2) T Natarajan
T Natarajan is one of the Indians who played in the last BGT series and has not played in Tests since then. Since the preferred Indian pacers were unfit, India had to give a Test debut to Natarajan, who was never known for his skills with the red ball.
Nevertheless, he took three wickets in that game and that included the likes of Marnus Labuschagne. However, he is yet to feature in the Indian five-day team since that game at the Gabba.

3) Navdeep Saini
Navdeep Saini appears to have been in the Indian Team for a long time but interestingly, he has played only 2 Tests for the nation till now. Both these Tests were in that BGT series.
Since then, Saini has had his issues with injury. The Indian pace attack has grown in stature and Saini has not been able to break past it. Although he was recently selected for the Bangladesh series, due to injury, he was ruled out.
