The 2023 ODI World Cup is happening in India. Hence, it does make sense for a few teams to have some support staff members hailing from the nation. Knowledge of the pitch and the conditions will go a long way in helping these teams in the tournament. A few nations have already made a move in this regard. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who are a part of the support staff of other nations in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

1) Ajay Jadeja – Afghanistan (Mentor)

Ajay Jadeja is operating as the Mentor of the Afghanistan Cricket Team. It is a major coup for the Afghans to bring Ajay on board.

The former India cricketer has been a part of the World Cup before and is experienced on Indian pitches. His expertise would help the Afghan side, which is on the brink of taking the next step at the international level.

2) Milap Pradeepkumar Mewada – Afghanistan (Batting Coach)

Milap Mewada is a former Indian domestic cricket player who mainly played for Baroda. After his stint as a cricketer, he served as the Head Coach of many Ranji sides.

After doing a camp with the Afghanistan side, he came in as the batting coach. Afghanistan has some bright young batting talents on the roster. If they are guided in the right direction, they can do well in the ongoing ODI World Cup.

3) Saurabh Ambatkar – England (Sidearm Specialist)

Saurabh Ambatkar is one of the Indians who are a part of the support staff of other nations in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Also known as a “dog thrower”, Saurabh is a specialist left-arm sidearm thrower. He has previously worked for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
