Royal Challengers Bengaluru have struggled in their spin department in recent years. While they had Wanindu Hasaranga, it was not bad. However, IPL 2024 was a poor outing for their spinners. They need to build a spin attack and could target some of the fine young Indian spinners in the market. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indian spinners RCB can realistically target for IPL 2025.
1) R Sai Kishore
R Sai Kishore has not been getting enough chances in IPL despite his stellar performances at the domestic level. Gujarat Titans are likely to release him ahead of IPL 2025.
Sai has the capability to become the lead spinner of an IPL outfit. He is more defensive with his approach and that is exactly the kind of profile that RCB would need. Hence, they could go all out for him.
2) Harpreet Brar
The Punjab Kings spinner has been doing well in the recent seasons barring a few games of inconsistency. Some other franchises could target him in the next seasons.
RCB could go for the Punjab man. He is good in the middle-overs and also offers some batting value. He already has some experience at the IPL level which should be sufficient for the franchise.
3) Suyash Sharma
Suyash Sharma is one of the Indian spinners RCB can realistically target for IPL 2025. The Delhi lad did not get a lot of games in IPL 2024. Even with the chances he got, he was not at his best despite his excellent run at the domestic level.
Nevertheless, he is just 21 and he still has quite a few years to develop himself. Chinnaswamy needs a leg-spinner and Suyash could be a fine option for the side. The youngster has got some variations which could induce the batter into playing a false shot. All of this could help the franchise.
