Ashish is a successful IPL coach and if he leaves GT, there would be other franchises ready to take him. 1) Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings are searching for a coach whom they can trust for a long time. This has not happened for them in recent years. Ashish Nehra would be a good candidate for investing the trust in.
Nehra comes in with successful experience and would straightway have an impact on the squad. Given a free hand, Ashish could do wonders like he did with Gujarat Titans.
2) Delhi Capitals
It needs to be noted that Delhi Capitals is without a Head Coach now. Recently, they parted ways with Ricky Ponting. As per reports, an Indian World Cup winner is in contention to replace the outgoing Aussie.
Ashish Nehra could be the man then. He also has the experience to do the job well for the side. With a strong core at his disposal, he would be a great choice to have.
3) Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR is one of the franchises which might target Ashish Nehra as Head Coach if he leaves Gujarat Titans. Although Chandrakant Pandit won IPL 2024 as the Head Coach, there are still doubts about him as a coach. Plus, Gautam Gambhir is not the Mentor anymore.
This would be a great opportunity for KKR to also plan for the future. Hence, Ashish Nehra would be the ideal appointment before a Mega Auction. This would also give him the chance to build the squad that can won trophies in series.
