R Sai Kishore, who is now an Indian cricketer, did not get a single game in IPL 2023. This might continue in IPL 2024, as well, as the duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad are showing no signs of slowing down. It is important for Sai to play games, keeping the future of the Indian spin attack in mind. Hence, a few teams can actually try to target Sai in the trade window. On that note, here, we take a look at three franchises that must try to convince Gujarat Titans to trade R Sai Kishore before IPL 2024.
1) Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH does not have a strong spin attack. While Washington Sundar is injury-prone, the likes of Mayank Markhande and Mayank Dagar may not be reliable.
A player like Sai might work well for the franchise. He can provide stability to the attack while also forming a superb combination with Washi.
2) Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the franchises that must try to convince Gujarat Titans to trade R Sai Kishore before IPL 2024. Shahbaz Ahmed failed to do well for RCB in IPL 2023. Wanindu Hasaranga also leaked a lot of runs.
RCB might have to relook at their spin attack. Sai Kishore can be a worthy option for them. He is excellent in containing runs, something that might be useful in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Also, his batting abilities could also help the outfit.
3) Mumbai Indians
Kumar Kartikeya and Piyush Chawla were a part of the spin attack for Mumbai in IPL 2023. However, this is not a choice for the long-term. The franchise must look at a more robust attack in this regard.
R Sai Kishore would be a perfect fit at MI. He suits the philosophy of the franchise and Sai would also get a good environment to develop his game. As a bowling all-rounder, Mumbai must target him in the trade window.
