Sean Abbott surprised many with his batting skills in the recent game in Indore. A few of the Indian fans have already started discussing which IPL franchise can target him for the next season. A bowling all-rounder is always rated in a T20 competition. Especially coming from Australia, more than one franchise would be interested in his services. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three franchises that can target Sean Abbott for IPL 2024.
1) Delhi Capitals
Ricky Ponting and Delhi Capitals have looked at talent from Australia a lot in recent years. With Sean Abbott somewhat fitting the bill for the requirements, the franchise could target the cricketer.
Delhi Capitals struggled with their overseas combination last season. If they had a decent overseas bowling all-rounder, they could have tried some different combination. Abbott offers that and hence, he could be preferred.
2) Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders is one of the franchises that can target Sean Abbott for IPL 2024. If you take a look, none of the pacers in KKR offer decent batting skills. This could be a problem going forward if IPL decides to have the playing XI announced before the toss.

Balance has been an issue for RR in recent seasons. The signing of Jason Holder did not help the outfit in IPL 2023. He is likely to part ways before the next season.
Now, Sean Abbott is a player who can replace him here. He offers decent new-ball quality and also has a way around at the death. Of course, with the bat, he is more than useful in a T20 game.
