3 former Indian CSK cricketers who are Head Coaches right now

After retiring from the game, taking up coaching is a good career prospect for cricketers. However, it is only now that the scene is developing in India. This is mainly due to the emergence of regional or state-based T20 leagues. While it is offering a good platform for players, some of the ex-cricketers are also getting an opportunity to bring some of their tactics to the table. Here, we take a look at three former Indian CSK cricketers who are Head Coaches right now.

1) Ashish Nehra – Gujarat Titans

When it comes to former Indian cricketers, Ashish Nehra happens to be one of the most successful coaches in the Indian Premier League. While he won the trophy in IPL 2022, he lost it by a whisker in 2023.

It was at CSK that Nehra made a strong comeback as a cricketer. After this stint, Nehra found his groove in the format and even represented the Indian Team for a while.

2) S Badrinath – Dindigul Dragons

S Badrinath is one of the former Indian CSK cricketers who are Head Coaches right now. An intelligent cricketer at his time, the former CSK batter has been spending time as a coach, too.

In the Tamil Nadu Premier League, he happens to be one of the popular coaches. If he can impress, an IPL contract may not be far away.

3) Hemang Badani – Chepauk Super Gillies

After BCCI allowed the ICL players in the IPL, CSK picked Hemang Badani. However, the former India cricketer could not get a game at the franchise.

Nevertheless, he has been doing well as a coach in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. He is also a part of the backroom staff at Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is someone who is doing well in this role and it won’t be a surprise if he finds a promotion within the next few seasons in the IPL.
