Chennai Super Kings might have to start fresh in IPL 2025. They could have to make some key signings that will also serve them in the future. They could use the recently concluded 2024 T20 World Cup as a point to start their scouting. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three brilliant bowlers from the 2024 T20 WC whom CSK can target for IPL 2025.
1) Naveen-ul-Haq
Naveen-ul-Haq is already a part of the Texas Super Kings for MLC 2024, the sister franchise of CSK. It could very well be on the radar for CSK in IPL 2025.
Naveen comes in with a lot of variations at different phases of the game. In the IPL, as well, he has been pretty good. When it comes to experience, too, Naveen is not bad, considering his young age. The profile would be a perfect fit either as the partner for Pathirana or as his backup.
2) Fazalhaq Farooqi
Fazalhaq Farooqi is one of the brilliant bowlers from the 2024 T20 WC whom CSK can target for IPL 2025. Another Afghan player on the list is the best bowler from the recent World Cup.
He could be an upgrade over Mustafizur Rahman, who was actually decent in IPL 2024. CSK would need a younger and a fitter cricketer. Considering his recent performances, Farooqi would be a good option.
3) Adam Zampa
It has been a while since CSK has had a reliable leg-spinner in the side. You could say that Imran Tahir was probably the last good option they had. It is a surprise because at a venue like Chennai, the home-team usually must not end up without a leggie.
Nevertheless, the management could correct that with the addition of Adam Zampa before IPL 2025. He is experienced and has done well at Chepauk before. Hence, he is on this list.
