1) Release KL Rahul
With all that happened in IPL 2024, it is best if both parties part ways before the next season. This could work positively for both of them in many ways.
Anyway, KL Rahul has not been at his best at the top of the order. Yes, he has the talent but he is not able to adapt his mindset to the current demands. As a skipper, as well, he has only been just good. Nicholas Pooran could be the right man to take the franchise forward.
2) Retain Ayush Badoni
You could say that Ayush Badoni has been inconsistent for LSG based on the numbers. However, he has done well in certain tough situations for the side. He plays as a finisher and failures are common for a batter in this role. He is anyway young and still developing.
While it could be a risk to retain him with such a small sample size, it could be difficult to get him back. Especially with his strong run in the Delhi Premier League, LSG must retain him.
3) Retain Mayank Yadav
Retaining Mayank Yadav is one of the bold retention calls LSG could take before IPL 2025. He has a very small sample size and is also very injury-prone.
That said, it is difficult to get such pacers in India. It is worth retaining him and expecting half a season every year from him. It is risky but since for an uncapped player, not much fee is needed, it is definitely worth the risk.
