The best Test batter in the history of Test cricket, Don Bradman is the Australian player who has scored the most centuries in Ashes. The batting great smashed 19 tons in the series against England and was the main reason behind Australia’s success in his time. In the 37 matches that he played in Ashes, he scored 5028 runs at a mammoth average of 89.78. He also smashed 12 centuries and had the best of 334 in the series.

2. Steve Smith – 11 

The current lynchpin of the Australian batting lineup Steve Smith is the Australian player who has scored second most centuries in Ashes. The right-hander has hit 11 tons in the Tests against England and will be crucial to his side’s chances in the upcoming series as well. Overall in 32 matches that he has played in Ashes, he has scored 3044 runs at an average of 59.68 with a highest score of 239. He also has 11 half-centuries to his name.

3. Steve Waugh – 10 

Former Australian skipper Steve Waugh has the third most centuries by Australian players in the Ashes. The batting legend scored 10 centuries against England in Tests and was one of the fiercest competitors on the field. He played 45 games against England and in those matches, he scored 3173 with a best of 177*. In the Ashes, Waugh had an average of 58.75 and also smashed 14 50s in the series.
