Chennai Super Kings will look to do well in IPL 2023, having endured a poor outing last season. It is important for the domestic players to step up. The Indian T20I Team is open for new talents and hence, if some of the CSK players could do well under pressure, they could wear the India cap within the next few months. Here, we take a look at two uncapped players in CSK who could make their India debut if they do well in IPL 2023.
1) Mukesh Choudhary
In the absence of Deepak Chahar, Mukesh Choudhary helped CSK last season. The left-arm pacer collected some crucial wickets in the powerplay and was influential with his movement.
Barring Arshdeep Singh and Mohsin Khan, India does have space to accommodate an extra left-arm seamer. Having been a net bowler for a few tournaments, Mukesh is already on the sidelines. If he can maintain his form and do better than Mohsin Khan in IPL 2023, he surely stands a chance to get an opportunity in the Indian Team.
2) Rajvardhan Hangargekar
Rajvardhan Hangargekar is one of the uncapped players in CSK who could make their India debut if they do well in IPL 2023. The Maharashtra bowling all-rounder could not make his IPL debut last season. This was despite Deepak Chahar not being present in the squad. Nevertheless, with the ‘Impact Player’ rule, Rajvardhan is all set to play in the IPL for the first time.
The cricketer does well with the movement of the ball and can also strike a few big blows down the order. India needs multi-dimensional cricketers for the white-ball setup and Rajvardhan fits the setup. He is just 20 years old and would be the right time to invest if the team is looking at the player for the long-term. Hence, he features on this list.
