England is one of the best T20 squads at the moment. Hence, they are rated highly in the Indian Premier League. However, a few squads did not sign even one English cricketer in the recent auctions. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two teams without a single English player in the squad for IPL 2025.
1) Lucknow Super Giants
LSG did not have a great outing at the auctions. While they did sign some fantastic cricketers like Rishabh Pant, the overall balance does not look great. Especially in the overseas department, with slots left, they could have had more players in the team.
Another overseas pacer and middle-order batter would have added terrific depth to the side. It was a bit surprising to see them take this route.
2) Punjab Kings does not have a single English player in the squad for IPL 2025
Punjab Kings is one of the teams without a single English player in the squad for IPL 2025. With Ricky Ponting at the helm, it was expected that the Aussies would dominate.
However, to not see a single English player was a bit surprising. It needs to be noted that in the last cycle, PBKS had a strong dominance of English cricketers.
