If Shreyas Iyer gets ruled out of the IPL 2023, left-hander Nitish Rana can be the perfect candidate to captain Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming season. The southpaw has been an integral part of the franchise for a while also has been consistently scoring runs for them. Rana has good captaincy experience as he leads Delhi in the domestic circuit and has done reasonably well. Nitish has done decently well with the bat in the league as he has scored 2181 runs in 91 IPL games at a strike rate of 134.22. He also has 15 fifties to his name with a best of 87.
