2 players RCB could try as Impact player if they bat first against CSK

It will be one of the biggest clashes in IPL on Monday. Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on each other at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 17th. Both teams, especially RCB have not been able to make the best use of the Impact Player rule. On that note, here, we take a look at two players RCB could try as the Impact player if they bat first against CSK.

1) Karn Sharma

Against DC, if not for the batting collapse, Karn Sharma would have been a suitable option to come in as the Impact Player. In the LSG game, it was the veteran leggie who was the option for the franchise in the second innings when they were bowling.

Karn has been in good form in IPL 2023. Yes, he has gone for runs but that is common in Bengaluru. Now that Wanindu Hasaranga is also available, the pressure would reduce on the Railways cricketer. In fact, if the duo develop a spin-bowling partnership, Karn could utilize the pressure created by the Sri Lankan cricketer to get a few wickets for himself.

2) Rajan Kumar

Rajan Kumar is one of the players RCB could try as the Impact player if they bat first against CSK. Vyshak Vijay Kumar did well against DC on Saturday. RCB has one more player on their roster who can leave a similar impact. Rajan Kumar is a promising left-arm seamer and if fit, he deserves an opportunity.

He is also the kind of player who can trouble the batters in CSK. Moreover, RCB needs as many ready options as available because the likes of Harshal Patel are not in great touch. Bowlers will always find it hard in Bengaluru but it has not been a great performance by the RCB bowlers, so far, to do their best in such conditions.
