2 players Lucknow Super Giants can try as opener instead of KL Rahul for the upcoming games

Lucknow Super Giants could have won the game against CSK had some of their batters stepped up. KL Rahul was in dismal form as he took 18 balls to score 20 runs. LSG might even think of having KL Rahul in the middle-order so that they do not lose the momentum at the top. Also, KL in the middle will help the team have a more balanced batting line-up. On that note, here, we take a look at two players Lucknow Super Giants can try as an opener instead of KL Rahul for the upcoming games.

1) Manan Vohra

Manan Vohra is the reserve opener in the squad. In the past, the cricketer has played some wonderful knocks and he would be a decent choice to have at the top of the order. Ayush Badoni could be replaced for this option to happen.

Vohra is a good timer of the ball and on his day, he has the ability to get a big score. Moreover, if he is given the freedom to express himself, he could become more dangerous to the opposition.

2) Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis is one of the players Lucknow Super Giants can try as an opener instead of KL Rahul for the upcoming games. The Australian all-rounder has somehow not clicked for LSG, so far. An interesting option could be to use him as an opener.

Stoinis has a lot of experience opening the batting in the BBL. He has toppled many records this way. While he would complement Kyle Mayers or Quinton de Kock, his confidence would also increase this way. KL Rahul in the middle-order may not be a bad option. Also, from a Team India perspective, too, KL spending more time in the middle overs would be a good thing. LSG would also have a good finisher if they have KL do the responsibility.
