Chennai Super Kings lost their previous game to Rajasthan Royals but it was by a very close margin. The team is in good form, despite the injury issues of some key players. Nevertheless, they would be the favourites to win the game against RCB on Monday. For that, the team has to do well on the tactical front, too. On that note, here, we take a look at two players CSK could try as the Impact player if they bat first against RCB.
1) Akash Singh
Akash Singh played the previous game and he could be an option for the match against RCB, too. Faf du Plessis has a weakness against left-arm pacers and in this regard, it will be a wise option to try a relatively lesser-known player like Akash against the RCB skipper.
The youngster did well in the U19 World Cup but somehow could not kick on in the domestic circuit. That said, the opportunity by CSK is a big one and he has already made it to the playing XI, as well. Hence, he can make use of these chances to grow and develop further.
2) Rajvardhan Hangargekar
Rajvardhan Hangargekar is one of the players CSK could try as the Impact player if they bat first against RCB. The Maharashtra lad played the first few games but has not been getting frequent chances since then. However, he will surely be in consideration as the Impact Player if CSK is batting first.
The 20-year-old is best at the initial stage of the bowling innings. He can move the ball and also has good pace in his arsenal. It needs to be noted that the cricketer can also play some big shots. However, CSK is not utilizing it and that is understandable because having him in the batting inning could put the team in some risk if there is a collapse or an injury.
