2 pacers who can replace Umesh Yadav in the Indian Test squad for West Indies tour

One of the main things that have been in the headlines since India’s against Australia is the place of Umesh Yadav in the team. The pacer has been part of the team for a while but hasn’t been performing well as has been expected from him. He was poor with the ball even in the WTC Final as he gave away too many runs and there has been a lot of scrutiny for his place in the team. There have been many reports related to his omission as well. Let’s take a look at 2 players who can replace Umesh Yadav in Tests:

Mukesh Kumar

Mukesh Kumar has been one of the finest bowlers that have been toiling hard yards in the domestic circuit. The right-arm pacer has been part of the Indian setup as well but hasn’t made his debut yet. He has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and has taken 149 wickets in 39 games. With Umesh Yadav’s place under scrutiny, Mukesh Kumar could be an ideal candidate to replace him. Also with India in need of some fresh legs in the middle, he can be a fine player that can enter the mix.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh might be one of the names popping in the mind of selectors to add into the Indian squad for Tests. The Punjab pacer has been bowling extremely well for the last few months and is in good touch. He has been swinging white ball early on and has troubled the batters as well. With the amount of swing, he’s generating with the white ball, it’s fair to say that he can make batters dance to his tune with the red ball. Arshdeep Singh has also been sent by the BCCI to play county cricket and he has been performing well there as well.
