Quite a few Indians made their T20I debut after 2020. With COVID-19 around, India had to play tournaments parallelly and due to the pandemic, there had to be a lot of reserves. However, not all these players cemented a spot in the Indian Team. A few of them are also struggling in their IPL careers. In fact, shockingly, a few could go unsold in the upcoming auctions, too. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two Indians who made T20I debut after 2020 but could be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions.
1) Chetan Sakariya
You could say that Chetan Sakariya got to make his India debut very early. He just had half a good season for Rajasthan Royals and before long, he was a part of the Indian Team to Sri Lanka. The Saurashtra man played in both the ODI and the T20I formats.
However, while he has been doing well domestically, in IPL, he has not progressed. At Delhi Capitals, he did not get a lot of matches while at KKR, he had to spend all the time on the bench. The likes of Mohsin Khan and Yash Dayal are doing well now and there are many other good left-arm seamers at the domestic level. Hence, Chetan could struggle to get a contract.
2) Sandeep Warrier
Sandeep Warrier is one of the Indians who made their T20I debut after 2020 but could be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions. The Tamil Nadu cricketer already was unsold more than once. In the last two seasons, he has got a chance in the IPL only as a replacement signing.
Sandeep has not been able to crack his T20I bowling outside the powerplay. This is crucial for an IPL Team to stick with a domestic pacer. Especially if the bowler is close to his thirties, the chances are limited. Sandeep unfortunately falls in this category.
