2 Indian players who must do well in NZ T20I series to save their position in Indian side

India and New Zealand will be involved in a three-match T20I series. The first game will happen this Friday. Team India is looking at the 2024 T20 World Cup and hence, we could see some drastic changes in the coming days. The management is likely to come down hard on non-performers. Therefore, it will be a vital competition for a few cricketers. On that note, here, we take a look at two Indian players who must do well in NZ T20I series to save their position in the Indian side.

1) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one player who could be dropped from the Indian Team soon. Although he has had a fantastic year, Bhuvi is not doing well when the Indian Team is under pressure. Also, it seems that his variations for the death overs are not coming off.

Deepak Chahar is one player who can displace Bhuvi when he is back to the T20I setup. At the moment, Deepak appears more dangerous in the powerplay and he has also improved his skills at the death. Moreover, the Rajasthan cricketer does better with the bat and this is important in the modern game.

2) Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is one of the Indian players who must do well in the NZ T20I series to save their position in the Indian side. It was a surprise that Kuldeep was selected ahead of Ravi Bishnoi for this series. If India is using Kuldeep in this series, he must step up.

In recent months, the player has been very inconsistent. While he collects wickets, he could also tend to leak runs. India needs wrist spinners to also be defensive when the situation demands. If Kuldeep does not perform well against New Zealand, it could be yet another long spell on the sidelines. The likes of Ravi Bishnoi would be likely to replace him in the T20 Team.
