Chennai Super Kings always have the habit of picking some fine net bowlers. In the past, they have hired many foreign bowlers, as well, for this role. In some instances, a few of these cricketers get a chance to feature in the competition as a replacement signing. For instance, Akash Singh played for CSK this way in IPL 2023. In the ongoing season, as well, CSK has some experienced net bowlers. A few of them, interestingly, featured for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the past. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two former RCB bowlers who are net bowlers for CSK in IPL 2024.
1) Kulwant Khejroliya
Kulwant Khejroliya is one of the former RCB bowlers who are net bowlers for CSK in IPL 2024. The left-arm pacer based out of Delhi played for Madhya Pradesh in the recent domestic season. He was in good form and that has helped him land a gig with CSK.
In the past, Kulwant played for sides such as RCB and KKR. A left-arm speedster, Kulwant also got a lot of opportunities to make an impact. However, he struggled to do well and hence, he was not retained by any of the sides. However, at CSK, he will receive good guidance and that must help his career.
2) Murugan Ashwin
Initially, Murugan Ashwin was named as a commentator for Star Sports. However, after that, CSK approached him and he is one of the net bowlers for the franchise.
An experienced leg-spinner, Murugan Ashwin’s presence will help the likes of Prashant Solanki. At the same time, the batters will also get good practice playing him in the nets. Moreover, if there is an injury issue, CSK can take him as a replacement because they do not have an experienced leg-spinner on the roster. Hence, for Ashwin, it will be an important campaign.
