2 former CSK players who are Head Coaches in Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024

After finishing their careers at Chennai Super Kings, a few teams did well to have a good coaching career. In fact, many of them are still active in this role. The likes of Stephen Fleming have already won five IPL trophies while former CSK players such as Dwayne Bravo and Mike Hussey are successful coaches right now. A few former domestic players of CSK are also doing well as a Head Coach. Ashish Nehra is a great example in this regard. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two former CSK players who are Head Coaches in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024.

1) Subramaniam Badrinath – Dindigul Dragons

S Badrinath was one of the most reliable players that CSK had back then. He was used more as a floater and more often than not, Badri stepped up for the franchise.

After retirement, Badrinath turned into a successful commentator. He is also doing well as a Head Coach in TNPL. He is coaching the likes of R Ashwin and Varun CV and that itself is a massive accomplishment for him. The former Tamil Nadu cricketer will hope to win a trophy this season.

2) Hemang Badani – Chepauk Super Gillies

Hemang Badani is one of the former CSK players who are Head Coaches in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024. Initially, the player was a part of the Indian Cricket League. However, after the league was banned and BCCI made a way for these players to be a part of IPL, CSK signed up Badani. That said, the middle-order batter did not get a single game.

Nevertheless, as a coach, he has been doing well. Since 2016, he has been at the helm for CSG and has helped the franchise do well. Badani also got an opportunity at SRH as a fielding coach and he is now exploring gigs overseas, as well.
