India is currently locking horns with Bangladesh in the first Test in Chattogram. They have produced a magnificent performance with both bat and are the favourites to win. The second Test between the teams will be played in Dhaka on December 22nd and the visitors would be eyeing a series win.
2 changes that might happen for the 2nd Test against Bangladesh if Rohit Sharma is available for the selection
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma missed the first Test due to a finger injury and is likely to be back for the second game in Dhaka. Many reports have suggested that the right-hander will return to the second Test and since then there have been many speculations about who will he replace in the side.
Let’s take a look 2 changes that might happen for the 2nd Test against Bangladesh if Rohit Sharma is available for the selection
Shubman Gill
Rohit Sharma is likely to replace Shubman Gill in the XI if he is available for the second Test. This will be the most unfortunate change as the youngster smashed a ton in the second innings of the first Test. However, being the senior and skipper Rohit will replace him. Rahul’s name might pop up but the Indian vice-captain has done reasonably well in the Tests and of late has been the best Indian batter in Tests. Despite scoring the ton, Gill falls third on the pecking order in terms of the opening slot. Therefore, if Rohit returns for the second game, Gill might get dropped.
When the opportunities are few and far between that's how you make it count. Congratulations on maiden Test ton @ShubmanGill 👏🏽 #BANvIND pic.twitter.com/FV8A4uZdHW

KL Rahul
If management wants to back Shubman Gill and give him longer rope considering the future, KL Rahul might make way for skipper Rohit Sharma in the second Test. Rahul failed in both innings in the first game against Bangladesh and also missed most of the Tests this year due to injuries. Therefore team management can opt to rest the vice-captain and allow Gill to continue his red-hot form. The Karnataka batter notably, has been under the firing line for a while as his poor performances have seen calls raising to his omission from the side. Therefore, he can also make way for Rohit if he is available for the second game.
How almost 31 years old KL Rahul is the future of indian team? Average 35 after 44 tests. Even Ravindra jadeja's test average is better than him.
