Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a heavy defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders recently. The team was in a good position at one stage but poor bowling and disastrous middle-order batting put the team in trouble. Next up, Faf du Plessis and his team will take on Lucknow Super Giants on April 10th in Bengaluru. A few changes in the playing XI are expected for RCB. On that note, here, we take a look at two changes RCB might do for their next game against LSG.
1) Avinash Singh for Akash Deep
Akash Deep has not been good for RCB in this edition, so far. Even in IPL 2022, he was expensive at times. RCB has a lot of options in the pace department and could give a chance to one of them.
Based on the details shared by RCB so far, Avinash Singh looks to be an exciting talent. He can bowl above 145 consistently and if he can hit the deck hard, this would further be an advantage for the franchise. Hence, he is one player who could get a chance.
2) Finn Allen for Michael Bracewell
Finn Allen for Michael Bracewell is one of the changes RCB might do for their next game against LSG. Michael Bracewell has been good with the ball but this is one type of bowling that even Glenn Maxwell can offer. Moreover, Wanindu Hasaranga will get his spot in the XI once he returns to the setup. The Sri Lankan will join RCB on April 10th and hence, it is unlikely that he would play against LSG on the same day.
Finn Allen is an option for RCB. He would be a more complete batter than Bracewell. Yes, middle-order may not be a right role for the player but RCB needs a proper batter at No.3 and the youngster from New Zealand can be the candidate.
