2 changes Mumbai Indians might make for their next game against Delhi Capitals

Mumbai Indians lost their second game of the season in IPL 2023 on Saturday. This time, it was against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. Like against RCB, MI did not put up a great fight against CSK, as well. Next up, they will take on the struggling Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. Here, we take a look at two changes Mumbai Indians might make for their next game against Delhi Capitals.

1) Arjun Tendulkar for Arshad Khan

Sandeep Warrier would definitely be the first choice for Mumbai Indians if they have to drop Arshad Khan. However, if they want a left-arm seamer to replace another left-handed pacer, Arjun Tendulkar could finally make his debut in the IPL.

Arshad Khan clearly did not look ready for IPL. Amidst this, it may not be a bad idea to give Arjun his debut, something that he has been waiting for a very long time. Yes, he too might have some issues but it is fair that he is given his chance considering he has been with the franchise for quite some time now.

2) Jofra Archer for Tristan Stubbs

Jofra Archer coming in for Tristan Stubbs is one of the changes Mumbai Indians might make for their next game against Delhi Capitals. It was as a precaution that Jofra did not play against CSK. If the Englishman is fit, he must make the playing XI ahead of Tristan Stubbs.

Stubbs took some time to get used to the conditions. He got out before he hit the groove. Moreover, it is the pace unit that MI needs more support in. Jofra is the leader of the pace attack and he will surely be in the squad if he is available. Even if Jofra is not there, if Riley Meredith is available, he is likely to replace Stubbs in the playing XI.
