It was a close loss for Mumbai Indians in the first game of IPL 2024 for them. A few of the tactical decisions by the franchise did not meet the expected results. While the management would want to correct that, at the same time, they will want to arrive at the perfect team combination. The next game for the franchise will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27th. It will be an important game for them. 1) Kwena Maphaka for Luke Wood
Kwena Maphaka is the replacement for Dilshan Madushanka for IPL 2024. He is a youngster and was in brilliant form in the recent U19 World Cup. Called the next Kagiso Rabada, Maphaka is someone who is very exciting and has tremendous potential in multiple phases of the game.
With Luke Wood not doing well in the first match, MI could be tempted to hand a debut to Maphaka. In the recent past, MI has been known to introduce some fine young South African talent. Maphaka, if he realizes his potential, can be a solid investment. Hence, he could get an early chance.
