2 changes Mumbai Indians could make for their next game against Delhi Capitals

Mumbai Indians have been inconsistent in IPL 2024. They had stitched some good wins but are now deviating again. After the last game against Rajasthan Royals, MI will look to make some changes in the playing XI. Here, we take a look at two changes Mumbai Indians could make for their next game against Delhi Capitals.

1) Dewald Brevis for Tim David

Tim David plays as a finisher, a role which is bound to meet with a lot of failures. However, Tim David has been very poor, despite getting some good platforms to showcase his skills. Also, his efforts on the field have been disappointing in recent games.

Dewald Brevis had to sit out after the poor outings in the first few games. While he prefers to play in the top order, we have seen in the CPL that Brevis can also operate as a finisher. Yes, it could be a risky move but if it comes off, MI would not only benefit in this season but would also gain some advantages in the future editions.

2) Romario Shephard for Mohammad Nabi

Romario Shephard for Mohammad Nabi is one of the changes Mumbai Indians could make for their next game against Delhi Capitals. Mohammad Nabi batted up in the order in the last game against RR. He made some runs before Yuzvendra Chahal took his wicket. With the ball, as well, Nabi was only average.

Romario Shephard is a hit-and-miss cricketer. If he comes off, more often than not, he would help his side win the game. MI might have to trust him more as a finisher. They must use his bowling carefully. This way, he can be a utility cricketer and would add good value to the setup. Therefore, this change could be on the cards for the 5-time champions in the next game.
