Kolkata Knight Riders had to endure a tough defeat to Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. The team did well with the bat in the first inning but could not defend the score in the second. Now, the management will have a look at the bowling and might want to make some changes. They will also keep in mind the opposition for their next game, which is Royal Challengers Bengaluru. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes KKR could make for their next game against RCB.
1) Anukul Roy for Ramandeep Singh
With Sunil Narine performing so well, KKR might not need that extra batter. Ramandeep Singh is anyway not bowling and as a bowler, he might not offer a threat against RCB. In this regard, it would be wise to have Anukul Roy, who also played in the last game against RCB.
The RCB batters have a weakness for left-arm spinners. Anukul Roy did well in the last game and it is likely that he will play against RCB, as well. He is also a terrific fielder and a decent batter.
2) Chetan Sakariya for Harshit Rana
Chetan Sakariya for Harshit Rana is one of the changes KKR could make for their next game against RCB. The combination of Mitchell Starc, Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora just did not work against RR. KKR management might make some changes in this regard.
They have someone like Chetan Sakariya on the bench. He can bowl at multiple phases and has many variations up his sleeve. Sakariya can also open the bowling along with Mitchell Starc. RCB batters are not exactly comfortable against left-arm seamers and hence, he might be a wise choice to have in the playing XI. It has been a while since he played in the IPL. Hence, Chetan will also be desperate for a chance to show his skills.
