2 Changes KKR could do for the next game against Delhi Capitals

KKR have two wins in 5 matches so far.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have suffered two back-to-back losses in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. They now have three defeats to their name out of the five games. The Nitish Rana-led side needs to pull up their socks and turn things around before it gets too late.

2 Changes KKR could do for the next game against Delhi Capitals

It’s fair to say that their bowling has let them down in their last two games and they need to rectify it going ahead into the tournament. The Kolkata Knight Riders are now slated to lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next game on Thursday (20th April) and they would want to return to winning ways. Let’s take a look at 2 Changes KKR could do for the next game against Delhi Capitals:

1. Jason Roy in place of Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Rahmanullah Gurbaz has struggled to get going at the top for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He has managed to hit just one half-century this season and has failed in the other three games. KKR are lacking good starts with the bat and therefore Jason Roy could be in contention for the next game. The English batter can replace Gurbaz and the team might ask N Jagadeesan to keep the wickets. Roy of late has been in terrific form. He was one of the best batters in the PSL 2023 and the team would want to utilise his form.

2. David Wiese in place of Lockie Ferguson

Lockie Ferguson is not at his best in the ongoing IPL 2023. The pacer first missed the games due to injury and when he made his return to the team he has looked in horrendous form. The pacer has leaked runs and is also unable to take wickets. With the kind of impact the team would’ve wanted him to make, he has failed to deliver. In his place, KKR can try David Wiese, who can bowl fiery pace and also can hit some lusty blows batting down the order.
