2 changes CSK might do for their next game against RCB

CSK lost to Rajasthan Royals by a close margin on Wednesday. Their next game will be against Royal Challengers Bangalore next Monday. There are a few injury issues within the squad and a few changes might also have to be made keeping in mind the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. On that note, here, we take a look at two changes CSK might do for their next game against RCB.

1) Ben Stokes (if fit) for Devon Conway

Although Devon Conway scored runs against RR, the strike rate was disappointing. He spent too many balls to get going and this was one of the reasons why CSK were put under pressure in the end. Eventually, CSK lost the encounter. In the previous games, too, Conway had a similar outing.

Now, if Ben Stokes is fit and available, it would be a no-brainer to get him into the XI. The Bengaluru venue would suit his batting style. Ajinkya Rahane can be promoted up the order or Stokes himself could open the batting along with Ruturaj Gaikwad. It will be interesting to see if this happens.

2) Dwaine Pretorius for Sisanda Magala

Dwaine Pretorius for Sisanda Magala is one of the changes CSK might do for their next game against RCB. The South African speedster injured himself while fielding against RR. It is already reported that he would miss action for a while. Hence, CSK will have to make a change. Since Deepak Chahar is also injured, CSK has to get in a pacer to replace Magala. Pretorius is the experienced option available in the setup.

Pathirana is also available but he would be too raw for the high-profile game. Also, Pretorius adds value with the bat in the lower order. This could help the outfit when the game goes down to the wire, like it has been happening for the last few days in IPL 2023.
