Chennai Super Kings had to suffer a second straight defeat at the hands of Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. The team had a decent outing with the bat in the first inning. However, they could not do well with the ball and hence, the team had to lose the game. CSK has a few days gap before they meet SRH in their next encounter. Here, we take a look at the list of two changes CSK could make for their next game against SRH.
1) Sameer Rizvi for Ajinkya Rahane
It is high-time that Sameer Rizvi gets a proper chance in the top-order. One of the reasons it could happen is because Ajinkya Rahane is not in great form. It has been a few games since he made a decent contribution to the total.
Also, while CSK must ensure they reach the playoffs, they should also have an eye on the future. Hence, having Sameer Rizvi at the top of the order for one or two games is a good idea. It would give the Uttar Pradesh lad better freedom to express himself.
2) Richard Gleeson for Mustafizur Rahman
Richard Gleeson for Mustafizur Rahman is one of the changes CSK could make for their next game against SRH. Barring the first games, Fizz has been in disappointing form in the recent games. For a player of his experience, he must have ideally closed the game out against LSG. However, he could not do that.
Now, CSK could go for a change and they could bring new recruit Richard Gleeson into the playing XI. The 36-year-old comes in with plenty of experience. He is someone who can bowl at various phases of the game. The Englishman can also offer pace to this bowling attack. Hence, this change is on the cards for CSK against SRH.
