2 changes CSK could make for their next game against Rajasthan Royals

Chennai Super Kings lost their last game against Gujarat Titans. This is a big blow to their playoff qualification. Nevertheless, the team has decent depth to go for some changes for their next match against Rajasthan Royals. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes CSK could make for their next game against Rajasthan Royals.

1) Mukesh Choudhary for Simarjeet Singh

Simarjeet Singh would be a risky selection for the next game against Rajasthan Royals. RR has got some good players of pace and the pacer could be a liable option in the pace department.

Yes, he did not do well in the chance he got this season but Mukesh would be the ideal candidate to get into the side. Left-arm pacers who can move the ball would always trouble any openers. At times, the RR openers have been vulnerable this season. Therefore, although it is a risky bet, Mukesh could come in for Simarjeet for the next game.

2) Sameer Rizvi for Ajinkya Rahane

Sameer Rizvi for Ajinkya Rahane is one of the changes CSK could make for their next game against Rajasthan Royals. It is unclear why CSK is still backing Rahane despite the veteran not doing well in continuous games. In fact, in some of the matches, he had a negative impact for CSK with his scores in the powerplay.

The best option for CSK would be to trust Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad at the top. This duo did well in the first two matches for the side in IPL 2024. Hence, it is better to trust them and add one more middle order batter to the team. Sameer Rizvi would be the ideal choice. He has also been struggling for form but if he is given a clear role, he can be a good option to have.
